WHAT HAPPENS AT A NEW PATIENT CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT?

At your complementary consultation appointment you will meet with our treatment coordinator who will review your past and present oral health and medical history. Photos with our iPad and a 3-d scan with our digital iTero scanner will be completed and reviewed with you. This enhanced radiation free technology allows our office to share a 360 degree view of your mouth allowing the orthodontist to create a treatment plan for your individual orthodontic needs.  The recommended treatment and current treatment fees will be reviewed thoroughly by our treatment coordinator. We do offer a monthly payment plan to ease the expenses. If needed for treatment a panoramic and cephalographic radiograph will be taken at this time.

AT WHAT AGE SHOULD MY CHILD BEGIN ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommend by the age 7 children should have their first orthodontic evaluation.  At this time a child's smile is still developing, making it the ideal time for an orthodontic evaluation. At this stage, permanent teeth are beginning to erupt and jaw growth can be closely monitored. Early evaluations allow the orthodontist to identify concerns such as crowding, bite issues, jaw alignment, and harmful oral habits before they come more complex. While many children may not need treatment right away, early monitoring helps determine the best timing for care and can sometimes reduce the need for more extensive treatment later in life. Our goal is to help every child achieve a healthy, functional, and confident smile as they grow.

AT WHAT AGE IS AN ADULT TO OLD FOR ORTHODONTIC TREATMENT?

It's never to late to achieve a healthy, confident smile! Orthodontic treatment is not just for children and teens - adults of all ages can benefit from braces or clear aligners. 1 in 3 orthodontic patients is an adult. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, orthodontic treatment can be successful at almost any age. HOW DOES INSURANCE WORK?

Orthodontic insurance typically operates on a lifetime maximum, paying a percentage of the total cost of treatment (often 50%) Payments are usually paid in installments over the course of treatment, rather than in one lump sum. Insurance plans that are in-network will pay the Doctor directly, and that amount will be factored in to the total cost of treatment. ​We participate with the following plans - Delta Dental, United Concordia and Blue Cross Dental.

MY INSURANCE IS OUT OF NETWORK - HOW DOES MY INSURANCE WORK?

Out-of-network insurance plans will pay the subscriber directly throughout the course of treatment. We submit to your insurance the day treatment begins. ​
